Stephen Francis Walsh, 70, of Wrentham passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10th, 2025, at The Wrentham Developmental Center.
Stephen was born on April 2nd, 1955, to the late Roger F. and Mary E. Walsh (Petrie) in Norwood, Massachusetts. Because of his special needs, Stephen lived most of his life at the Wrentham Developmental Center. Though visually impaired, he had an amazing ability to recognize and appreciate the people who cared for him. Stephen was known for his endearing smile, strength, and mischief.
Stephen lived a life filled with courage and determination and he took great joy interacting with others. We will all miss Stephen's enthusiasm and sometimes quiet presence. May he rest in eternal peace.
Predeceased by his parents, Roger and Mary Walsh (Petrie) and his sister Joyce Ann Tenanty.
Stephen is survived by his siblings Karen Marie Brown and her husband Stephen Odian, Sr. of Palm Bay, FL, William John Walsh of Norwood, Janet Mary Walsh of North Attleboro, Paul Henry Walsh of Foxboro, Roger Michael Walsh of Norwood , Gerard Martin Walsh and his wife Susan Elizabeth of North Attleboro, Martin Joseph Walsh and his wife Shirley Ann of Wrentham, Theda Catherine Walsh of Norwood , Mary Ellen Miethe and her husband David Joseph, Sr. of Walpole, Michael John Walsh of Norwood, brother-in-law James Paul Tenanty of Norwood, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is also survived by his community of friends at the Wrentham Developmental Center and the staff he worked with throughout the years.
A Catholic Mass in celebration of Stephen's life will be held on Tuesday, November 25th, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Graves Auditorium at the Wrentham Developmental Center located at 7 Littlefield Rd. Wrentham, MA.
Burial will follow at 1:45 pm at The Veteran's National Cemetery Bourne located, Connery Avenue Bourne, MA. 02542 where Stephen will be laid to rest with his beloved parents.
