Stephen Michael Warzecha

Stephen Warzecha, 68, passed away March 20th, 2026. He was born on July 24th, 1957, son of the late Stephen and Stephanie Warzecha. He passed away peacefully and comfortably in his home with his beloved wife of nearly 43 years, Julie Warzecha, at his bedside.

Stephen grew up in Norwich where he attended Norwich Free Academy. He then moved to California with his friends in the early 1980s where by fate he met and married his wife, Julie, and had his two daughters before moving back to Connecticut in the late 1980s, where he insisted on raising his family. Stephen was a Drakes/Hostess route salesmen until he retired in 2013. He enjoyed playing sports in his younger years, especially basketball. He was an avid runner in his younger days as well. He loved riding dirtbikes in the woods. He had a true love for nature and animals. Stephen loved music, especially classic rock. He would often reminisce of his upbringing by sharing stories and times with his friends and family that he cherished. Stephen had the greatest sense of humor, always able to make a witty quip and erupt a room in laughter. Stephen was raised Catholic and had a profound love for Jesus Christ. He had complete peace and knew Heaven awaited him.

Stephen is predeceased by his sister, Donna John, and his in-laws, Fred and Merlyn Gaspar. He is survived by his loving wife, Julie Warzecha, and their children Nichole, Hilary, and Joel Warzecha. He also survives his younger brother Paul Warzecha, his soon-to-be daughter in law Avery Kopacz, as well as his niece and nephews.

A celebration of life for any who wish to attend will be held at Spirit Road Church at 12 Inchcliffe Drive, Gales Ferry, CT at 10am on Saturday, March 28th, 2026.
