1951 - 2026

Steve Baker, 74, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026. Born on April 27, 1951, Steve was raised in Greensboro, North Carolina and lived a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and an abiding love for God’s creation.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy; his daughter Kelley (Tony) Swarbrigg; his son Brett (Mary Elaine) Baker; his cherished grandchildren, Belen and Kellen; and his brother, John. He was predeceased by his sister, Judy.

A man of unwavering faith, Steve was an active member of his church communities in Roswell and later in Blairsville following his retirement. His devotion to sharing the Word of God touched many lives. He faithfully led Bible study groups at his church, creating spaces for fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth. In honor of his dedication, these Bible studies will now continue under the name the Steve Baker Bible Study, serving as a lasting tribute to his faithful leadership and love for Scripture.

Steve found immense joy in the simple blessings of life. He treasured time spent outdoors in the picturesque North Georgia mountains, often tending to the yard with his beloved John Deere tractor or enjoying rounds of golf. He also delighted in peaceful walks with Judy and their lively dog, Gin.
