Steven Barwick, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 23 in Stuart, FL. Steve lived a full and meaningful life defined not by titles alone, but by his deep love for his family, his quiet service to others, and the steady presence he offered to all who knew him.
Steve was the devoted husband of Pam and a loving, engaged father, sharing close and meaningful relationships with his family for more than half a century. Family was at the center of his life. He was known for his calm strength, his thoughtful listening, and his ability to make others feel at ease. Whether with family, friends, colleagues, or neighbors, Steve had a natural gift for connection and kindness. He had a deep love for animals and he and Pam cared for countless pets throughout his life.
Steve believed in giving back. He served on the boards of several companies he owned with his brothers, as well as The Jupiter Hospital and the homeowner's associations in his communities. In every setting, he was a quiet, ever-present source of wisdom and reliability. His extensive technical knowledge, combined with his humility and steady demeanor, made him a trusted colleague, mentor, and friend.
Steve served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force in the Pacific region during the Vietnam era and later continued his commitment to public service through time spent on the police force in Lakeland, FL. His professional life reflected both discipline and entrepreneurship. He successfully operated a CPA firm before going on to found and lead companies involved in medical practice management consulting, aviation electronics manufacturing, and construction management. In all of his work, Steve was respected not only for his skill and leadership, but for his integrity and quiet competence.
Being a third generation native Floridian, he was an avid scuba diver and golfer, but also enjoyed skiing or hiking the beautiful mountains of Colorado. An accomplished, instrument-rated pilot, Steve spent countless hours flying aircraft he owned with family members and used in his business pursuits. Flying was one of his great joys, especially when shared with his wife Pam, a commercial pilot. Their time in the air together reflected the partnership they shared in life—built on trust, respect, and deep affection.
Steve is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, two brothers, and many extended family members and friends with whom he shared long, loving, and meaningful relationships. Above all else, Steve will be remembered as a loving husband and father with a kind soul, and a man whose life was rooted in love, service, and family.
