Steven "Steve" Howard Gregory, 67, of Conklin, NY, passed away on January 14, 2026, surrounded by his three children. Born and raised in Conklin, Steve spent his entire life in his hometown.
Steve was predeceased by his parents, Dire and Jean Gregory; his brother, Gary Gregory; and his beloved daughter-in-law, Crystal Gregory.
He is survived by his sons, Dana Gregory and Timmy Gregory; his daughter, Jenna Gregory, and son-in-law Blair; his grandchildren, Makenna, Joshua, Hunter, Elice, and Hayden. He is also survived by his brother Mike Gregory and sister-in-law Sam, nieces Taylor and Shannon; his sister Sandy Gregory and nephew Derek; his partner in crime of 19 years, Sue Domurad; and his Shaw Road family.
A mechanic by trade, Steve could make just about anything run again, but his true passion was racing. He loved NASCAR, raced dirt track cars in his younger days (numbers 676 and 76), and never missed an opportunity to watch a race. An animal lover, Steve was rarely without a loyal companion by his side in the garage. Known as the life of the party, he was a great storyteller, a legendary flirt, and one of the funniest people you could ever meet.
A private memorial will be held with close family and friends.
