Send Flowers
Steven E. O'Neil (Steve), age 61, of White Lake, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2026.

Steve was born in Syracuse, NY., to his loving parents, Charles and Maureen O'Neil of Boston. He was raised in Camillus, N.Y., with his four siblings Chuck, John, Craig, and Erin. Steve graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Kingston, MA., and the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL., with a degree in economics. After several entrepreneurial business ventures, he settled in Michigan where he launched a successful career in sales, most recently with Walter Surface Technologies.

After beginning his family life in White Lake, MI., Steve always professed his greatest life accomplishment, pride and joy, and the apple of his eye was his daughter, Mackenzie J. O'Neil. He was forever dedicated to Mackenzie, the true light of his life, and took immense pride in being the "best dad" to his beautiful girl. He will continue to protect Mackenzie each day as a guiding light and angel in her life.

As an excellent hockey player and golfer throughout his childhood, Steve competed in many state and national competitive hockey tournaments as well as the Junior Masters golf tournament as a teenager. His love of sports provided many happy times throughout his life with brothers, sister, family and friends, always cheering for the Boston Bruins, New England Patriots or Kansas City Chiefs, and enjoying many fun spring vacations at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, the community in Orlando where his parents retired.

Steve was a man with a strong work ethic and a deep sense of faith. He was a lifelong Catholic and devoted parishioner of St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church. He will be fondly remembered by family, friends, and colleagues as a kind, friendly, true gentleman - always organized, thoughtful and considerate of others. In his free time, Steve continued his love for golf, participating in the golf league at Beacon Hill Golf Club.

Steve is survived by his beloved daughter, Mackenzie; and his cherished siblings, Chuck (Kris), John, Craig (twin), and Erin (Adam); as well as his loving nieces Shannon and Hannah Radford; former spouse, Tamara O'Neil; and a very long list of friends and colleagues from various cities.

He will be missed forever, and every good memory will be lovingly cherished - until we meet again.
