Steven Valintis, age 54, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. He was born on March 9, 1971.
Steven dedicated 30 years of his life to Hinsdale Central High School, where he was more than a colleague—he was family. He deeply cared for the staff he worked alongside, affectionately referring to them as "his ladies," a reflection of the warmth, loyalty, and respect he showed to those around him.
Steven had a rare gift for forming genuine connections. He made friends easily, and some of his most cherished relationships were with his special waitresses. These friendships meant everything to him and brought him great joy throughout his life.
He lived fully and passionately, enjoying countless Chicago sporting events and rock concerts. Music held a special place in his heart, especially the guitar, which he loved deeply.
Steven is survived by his loving mother, Patricia Valintis, and his sister, Sheri Valintis. He was a devoted and proud uncle to his three nephews, Elijah Walker, Gabriel Walker, and Nathanael Walker, who brought him immense happiness and pride.
