Sue Marie Weber (Osborn), age 91, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, in Santa Rosa, California.
Born on November 9, 1934, in Portland, Oregon, Sue was the daughter of Deny and Florence Osborn. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest and later pursued her education at Oregon State University, where she was a proud member of the Chi Omega sorority. After college, Sue sailed to Hawaii where she lived for a few years before returning to the mainland. There, she and Ken met her in a recreational bowling league. They married soon after in Portland.
Sue led a full and meaningful life marked by dedication to both family and career. In addition to raising three children, she enjoyed a lifelong career as a secretary—a role that suited her well-organized nature and quiet strength. Her calm demeanor and kind spirit left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside her.
She shared many cherished years with her beloved husband, Ken Weber, who preceded her in death. Together they built a loving home filled with warmth, creativity, and laughter. Sue found great joy in motherhood and is lovingly remembered by her children: Karen Sipich (Jim), Karla Schloemp (Chris), and Mike Weber (Suzanne). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Jordan (Megan), Jaime (Cody), Jackie (Gabe), Andrew, Savannah (Travis), Hannah (Chris), and Luke—and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who held her dear.
Sue had an artistic soul and expressed herself beautifully through watercolor painting, pottery, sewing, and other creative pursuits. Among her most treasured accomplishments were the intricate wedding gown she sewed for her eldest daughter and several stunning prom dresses that showcased her talent and attention to detail. She spent much of her free time reading and creating beautiful watercolor paintings that reflected a love of nature.
An animal lover throughout her life, Sue had many dogs over the years who brought her comfort and companionship. She especially adored her King Charles Spaniel, Sienna—an affectionate companion known for charming everyone they met on their outings together.
Sue found peace in the natural world. She loved visiting the ocean and spending time surrounded by trees and the mountains. A highlight was time spent at Pine Mountain Lake in the Sierras—a place where she created countless joyful memories with family and friends. In retirement, she and Ken lived near the mountains in Colorado, and later in the deserts of Arizona, before returning to Northern California to be near family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ken Weber; parents Deny and Florence Osborn; brother Ken Osborn (Dorothy); and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Marty and Barbara Schaefer.
Sue will be remembered for her gentle presence, artistic gifts, deep love for animals, and unwavering devotion to family. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
