Susan Bowles

Susan "Sue" Bowles (née Batchelor), born on March 22, 1947, in Haines City, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, in Babson Park, Florida. She was 78 years old.

Sue dedicated her life to caring for others and working hard in her community. She served as a Licensed Practical Nurse in home health care, where her compassion and dedication touched many lives. Later, she took on the role of Manager at Buddy's LP Gas, demonstrating her strong work ethic and leadership skills.

Sue was a devoted mother to her son Frank Carl Caterino III of Virginia Beach and her daughter Tanya B. Ford of Babson Park, Florida. She cherished her grandchildren—Majka, Alexander, Kasandra, Luke, Aiden, and Kaja—who brought immense joy to her life. Sue is also survived by her sister Janice Watson and brother Buddy Batchelor.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Stewart Bowles Jr., as well as her parents Doris and "Shorty" Batchelor. Her siblings Ronnie, Grady, Lonnie, and Dorothy also preceded her in death.

Sue had a zest for life that was evident in the simple pleasures she enjoyed. She loved starting her day with coffee and cigarettes and had a passion for garage sales that never waned. Earlier in life, she found joy as a CB radio handler—a hobby that connected her with others in unique ways. Above all else, Sue adored spending time with her grandchildren and treasured the moments they shared.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
