Susan Feraco Minion, age 76, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026. She was born on March 2, 1949, and grew up in Bayville, Long Island, New York. Susan spent the past four years in a nursing home living with dementia, where she was cared for with compassion.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Anthony Feraco; her sister, Marilyn Horan; and her husband, Stephen Minion.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Sheri McNally; her cherished granddaughters, Madison Dahm, Jocelyn McNally, and Jaden McNally; and her great-grandson, Sawyer Dahm. She is also survived by her brothers, Frank Feraco and Michael Feraco; her son-in-law, Chris McNally; her nieces, Kelly Varello and Kim Tzimas; and her cousins, Rosemary Rich and Rosemarie Licamelli.
Susan was most proud of her daughter and granddaughters, who were the center of her world. She was sweet, kind, and deeply caring, with a gentle presence and what one dear friend described as "the sweetest voice." She was a loyal friend who loved her family wholeheartedly.
Susan had a deep passion for living a healthy lifestyle and was devoted to nutrition, fitness, and mindful living. She earned a college degree in Biology while raising her daughter, a testament to her determination and love of learning. She worked in the natural foods industry as a store manager and was a Certified Nutritionist, and she was also a yoga teacher for several years, sharing her commitment to wellness with others. She found joy in biking, skiing, home decorating, art—especially drawing—and traveling. Long walks on the beach and time spent in nature brought her peace.
As her daughter lovingly remembers, Susan was a young, adventurous mother, and they truly grew up together. She was always the class mother, never missing a moment, and believed deeply in experiencing life fully. She would sometimes take Sheri out of school to ski or travel, and together they lived in Switzerland for three months and spent the summer after college graduation in Australia. Susan was also steadfastly by her daughter's side when Sheri became a mother herself, supporting her through the joy of raising three daughters.
Susan will be remembered for her gentle spirit, adventurous heart, devotion to family, and the love she so freely gave.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring. Details will be shared at a later time.
