Susan Elaine Raney passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, just days shy of her 65th birthday. While her passing leaves a profound ache, those who loved Susan know she would want to be remembered not only with tears, but with laughter, stories, and the joy she so freely shared.

Susan was a faithful friend, a loving daughter, and a devoted sister. She is survived by her mother and her brother, both of whom were deeply cherished by her. Family and friendship were the foundation of her life, and she showed up for those she loved with unwavering loyalty.

Susan was known for her contagious laugh and her wonderfully silly sense of humor. She had a gift for lightening the moment, often when it was needed most. Life with Susan meant laughter, unexpected jokes, and the comfort of knowing someone truly had your back. One of Susan's greatest loves was her animals. Her heart had endless room for her dogs, who were not just pets but family. She leaves behind her beloved Comet, who was her constant companion and source of comfort. While Comet remains here, Susan was joyfully greeted at the Rainbow Bridge by all of her cherished dogs who went before her—a reunion filled with wagging tails, boundless love, and familiar joy.

Susan lived with authenticity, kindness, and courage. She loved deeply, laughed loudly, and cared fiercely. Her legacy lives on in shared laughter, loyal friendships, gentle compassion, and the countless lives—human and animal alike—that were better for having been loved by her.
