Susan Lee Truitt (née Sibole), age 71, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on January 18, 2026, in Circleville, Ohio. Born on January 20, 1954, in Marysville, Ohio, Susan lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

A proud graduate of Westland High School, Susan went on to pursue her passion for helping others by studying nursing at Columbus State Community College. Her dedication to healthcare led to a fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse and Clinical Manager. Over the years, she brought her expertise and care to several institutions including Doctors North, Aetna, OPERS, and Hoover Road Family Practice. Her colleagues and patients alike knew her as someone who could be counted on—generous with her time and deeply committed to those in her care.

Susan shared 54 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband Gary. Together they built a loving family that was the center of Susan's world. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Michelle (Mike) Lenox; Michael (Kelly) Truitt; Melissa (Jason) Thompson; and Amber (James) McManaway. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Chloe, Ethan, Camden, Cooper, Gabriel, Jackson, Avery, and Ella.

Family was everything to Susan. She was nurturing and protective—a steadfast presence who offered comfort and wisdom whenever it was needed. Whether she was fishing by the water's edge or tending to her garden with care, Susan found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved camping trips that brought everyone together under the stars and never missed an opportunity to play cards with friends and family—moments filled with laughter and connection.

Susan also treasured the deep friendships she cultivated over the years. Among those closest to her were Judy & Doug Davis and Cindy & Terry Worrix—friends who became like family through decades of shared memories. She was also surrounded by many other dear relatives and friends whose lives were touched by her warmth.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Jean Sibole; brother Bob Sibole; sister Nancy Wolfe and brother-in-law Dave Wolfe; father-in-law Floyd Truitt; brother-in-law Brian Truitt; and close friend Debra Collins.

Those who knew Susan will remember her as generous of spirit, dependable in every sense of the word, strong-minded yet tender-hearted—a true confidant whose love ran deep.
