Suzanne Lill Steel, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, at the age of 92.
Suzanne was born on October 10, 1933, to Dr. Joseph Lill and Loretta Lill. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James Steel, her parents and siblings Martha, Joe, Charlotte, Maxine, Rosemary, John, Barbara, Robert, Carolyn, Janet, Tom, and Nancy.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Hancock, and her cherished twin grandchildren, Charlotte and Joseph, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her son, James Steel.
For the last six years of her life, Suzanne made her home in Austin, Texas, where she lived with her daughter and grandchildren. During this time she was able to travel and visit many of her nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church in Austin, TX on January 30th at 11am. Burial to follow at a future date in Fort Wayne, IN.
