Suzanne Taly (née Moran), age 84, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, in Westfield, Indiana. Born on March 22, 1941, in Buffalo, New York, Suzanne lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and an unwavering devotion to her family.
Suzanne was the beloved wife of the late Charles "Jim" Taly and the cherished daughter of Eleanor and Patrick Moran. She was one of six siblings and is lovingly remembered by her sister Gloria and brothers Pat, Don, and Bob Moran. She was preceded in death by her brother Dan Moran.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Suzanne's legacy lives on through her children: Donna Smith and her husband Jimmy; Michael Taly and his partner Ann; Larry Taly and his wife Sandy; and Chuck Taly and his wife Jackie. Her grandchildren—Carol, Anna, Samantha, Nicki, Alyssa, Cody, and Kace—and great-grandchildren Alex, Amber, Mercedes, and Julianne were a constant source of joy in her life. She also held close the memory of her granddaughter Chrissy Edwards.
Suzanne embraced life with a spirit of adventure. She found joy in nature—whether hiking wooded trails or watching birds from her garden. A lover of sunshine water sports, she delighted in water skiing and jet skiing. Her green thumb brought beauty to every space she touched through gardening. Family time was sacred to Suzanne; she relished playing board games with loved ones and creating lasting memories during gatherings filled with laughter.
Those who knew Sue will remember her as selfless and giving—a woman who led with humility and grace. Her capacity for unconditional love and forgiveness left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. The warmth she extended to others reflected a heart that always put family first.
Keeping with Sue's giving spirit, she has donated her body to Science. We thank everyone who was part of her life. In honor of Suzanne, we ask you to take some time to remember the good times and love your family like she did.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire love and compassion for generations to come.
