Tammy Hamilton

1963 - 2026

Tammy Hamilton, 62, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. Born on March 12, 1963, in Bellingham, Washington, Tammy spent her early years in Deming, Washington, with her parents, Dennis and Patricia "Toni" Hamilton, and her older siblings, Ann TeVelde and Mike Hamilton. She held a deep affection for the family home on Mosquito Lake Road, which she always considered her true home. In 1974, the family relocated to Skagit County, after high school Tammy began building a life filled with adventure, hard work, love for animals, and meaningful relationships.

Tammy pursued a career in construction and spent many years working as a flagger for various companies across Whatcom and Skagit counties. Her adventurous spirit and dedication to her work led her to earn her pilot's license to escort oversized loads. In 2012, Tammy moved to Irrigon, Oregon, to be closer to her mother and sister. While living there, she briefly worked in the cafeteria for the Umatilla School District before returning to her passion for piloting. She worked for Linda's Pilot Car Service in Umatilla for many years and formed close bonds with her coworkers, who became like an extended family.

Tammy shared her life in Irrigon with her partner Phil Williams. Together they enjoyed gardening, cooking, and caring for their cherished pets. Tammy also developed a special connection with Phil's mother Valarie and deeply valued their relationship.

A lover of the outdoors and animals, Tammy found joy in running her Kubota tractor, fishing, boating, and spending time with friends and family. She had a compassionate heart and was known for taking in animals in need—her pets were like children to her. One of Tammy's proudest personal accomplishments was quitting smoking after more than 20 years.

In recent months, Tammy had been staying in Salome, Arizona, visiting her sister and house-sitting. She found happiness during her time in the desert and had been looking forward to returning the following winter.

Tammy deeply valued her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She is survived by her mother Patricia "Toni" Hamilton; her sister Ann TeVelde; her brother and sister-in-law Mike and Ona Hamilton; her nieces Alisha Stratton; Krista Cameron and husband Mac; Kellie Hamilton (Buddy); great-nieces and nephews Lilly Stratton; Brenden Stratton; Gavin Stratton; Aubrie Hamilton; Tanner Cameron; Stella Cameron; and stepdaughter Heidi Radder. Tammy was very proud of her nieces and was always their for them.
She was preceded in death by her father Dennis Hamilton, as well as by her grandparents, several uncles, and an aunt.

Tammy's warmth extended far beyond her immediate family—she touched the lives of many through her kindness and generosity. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.

The Family plans to have a celebration of life for Tammy later this summer at one of her favorite places, the family lake on bow hill.
