Remembering Taryn

Taryn brought light, laughter, and unmistakable energy wherever she went. She was beautiful, stylish, creative, fiercely loyal, and deeply loved. Whether she was bringing family & friends together, cheering on her Boston sports teams, creating art, initiating thoughtful debates, or simply being herself, Taryn made people feel seen and welcome.

Taryn's greatest gift was being exactly who she was, a contagious spirit uniquely her own. Taryn made a lasting difference in people's lives serving as a guiding voice of reason, a source of comfort in times of pain, and a bringer of laughter and smiles.

Taryn loved fully, laughed often, and lived with intensity and heart. She will be remembered always for her humor, her creativity, and the love she shared with everyone.

Professionally, Taryn was a passionate artist and designer, creating paintings, drawings, and commissioned murals throughout the greater Boston area. She also devoted over twenty years as a hospitality consultant, earning respect for her commitment to creating meaningful, positive experiences for others.

Family played an important role in Taryn's life. She is survived by her beloved partner, Cara Schulze of Dover; her devoted mother, Kathleen (Marr) Burke of Burlington; her dear brother, Timothy Burke and his wife Jeanne of Sudbury; her cherished sister, Caitlin Galorenzo and her husband Michael of Hoboken, New Jersey; and her loving nephews, RJ and Ben, and her treasured niece and goddaughter, Millie. She was predeceased by her doting father, Thomas F. Burke.

Taryn fought a six-month illness with the courage and tenacity that defined her. Throughout her journey, she was deeply grateful for the care and support of her family, friends, and medical team, including nurse Dorie of West River Care, whose steady presence brought comfort, and the dedicated caregivers at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
