**Taylor Ellis "TJ" Jones, 93**
Taylor Ellis "TJ" Jones, 93, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, in Albany, Ohio. Born on May 28, 1932, in Morristown, New Jersey, TJ lived a full and vibrant life marked by creativity, service, and kindness.
He graduated from Madison High School in Madison, New Jersey, and went on to attend Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. After two years of study, he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served with distinction for four years during the post-Korean War era. Stationed in Newark, New Jersey as part of the engineering division, he earned the National Defense Service Medal and received an honorable discharge.
A man of many talents and boundless energy, TJ was a professional photographer who ran Jones Studio in Cedarville, Ohio. His keen eye and artistic sensibility captured countless moments for families and communities over the years. Beyond photography, he was an expert woodworker and weaver whose hands were rarely still. Whether crafting furniture or intricate textiles, his work reflected both skill and passion.
TJ's hobbies were as diverse as they were numerous. He loved playing golf and remained active well into his later years—riding bikes, playing tennis and handball. In his youth, he played baseball as a catcher—a role that left him with a few stoved fingers and many fond stories that he shared often. One favorite tale was of visiting Yankee Stadium as a boy to watch his beloved team play.
He also found joy in quieter pursuits such as crocheting and operating ham radios—always learning something new or creating something beautiful. His industrious nature extended to every corner of his life; whether working at his job or improving his home, TJ was always busy with purpose.
Above all else, TJ will be remembered for his warmth and generosity of spirit. He had a kind word for everyone—especially those who helped him—and never missed an opportunity to express gratitude. In the final weeks of his life, he continued to touch hearts with his gentle demeanor and sincere appreciation for those around him.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Virginia E. Stockton (James), son Michael E. Jones (Gloria), granddaughter Lynze M. Hensley (Matt), grandson Christopher J. Stockton, brother Christopher Jones, many great-grandchildren and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Debbie; son Bruce Jones; granddaughter Sasha Heal; and other cherished family members.
A memorial service celebrating TJ's life will be held at a later date.
May Taylor Ellis "TJ" Jones's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life well-lived—with heart, hands, and humility.
