Mrs. Tena Marie May, 64, passed away on February 1, 2026, in Fort Pierce, Florida. Born on June 25, 1961, in Sacramento, California

Tena spent much of her professional life in the hospitality industry.

During her high school years, Tena was a member of the track team, reflecting the energy and determination that would remain with her throughout her life. In later years, she dedicated herself to supporting the homeless in her community, offering kindness and care with quiet strength.
She was one tough cookie.

Tena found joy in life's simple pleasures. She especially enjoyed fresh oysters and burrito supremes—favorites that brought delight and often served as shared moments with those around her. The next time you hear the song :"Killing me softly with his words" please think of Tena and find comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Daniel May; her son, Jason Farnum; two cherished grandbabies; her sister Mickie Arville Thomas and brother-in-law Art Thomas; nephews Derrick and Darrell McGee; half-brother Darren Arville and his wife Bobbie;
And their children; stepmother Shirley Arville; and best friend Harry King.

Tena was preceded in death by her father James Arville; mother Jeanette Richard Bayard; stepfather Wayne Bayard; and half-brother Thomas Arville.
