Teresa Gray (née McNamara), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away Monday, March 2nd surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Ireland, Teresa's adventurous spirit was evident from a young age. At just 19 years old, she left the shores of her homeland and boarded the RMS Saxonia, setting out for America. After arriving in New York City, she traveled to Cleveland to spend time with her aunt and uncle. It was there that she met a Clevelander named Richard Gray. Their meeting began a love story that would shape the rest of her life. Teresa McNamara became Teresa Gray, beloved wife of the late Richard Gray, and together they built a family grounded in love and devotion.
Teresa was a loving mother to Kathy Buzzard (John), Rich, Jack (Amy), and Tom. She was the dearest grandmother to Teresa, Brandis Van Iterson (Jamie), Adam (Elaine), Samantha, Jackie Blankenship (Garren), Owen, Tessa, and Gage Gray. She was also a special great-grandmother to Michael Schwebs, Damien Van Iterson and Monroe Blankenship.
She was preceded in death by her brother John.
She is survived by her dear siblings Thomas, Kathleen, and Anthony, all of Ireland and England.
A Celebration of Life event will take place at a later date.
In keeping with Teresa's wishes, cremation has taken place.
