Obituary for Teresa Prickett
Teresa Lavon Prickett peacefully passed away on March 5th, 2026. Though dealing with an extended illness, she spent the last part of her life surrounded by love and caring touches. Teresa was born on February 22, 1952, in Oklahoma City to proud parents, Thurston and Frankie Marsh. At a young age, Teresa's family made the adventurous trip from Oklahoma to California, where she resided for the rest of her life. After a brief stop in Santa Maria, Teresa's family found the San Jacinto Valley, where she remained for the next 68 years. Teresa was a school bus driver for the Hemet Unified School District for 23 years. In 1968, Teresa found out she was having twins, and from that point on, Teresa found her calling. Teresa was a devoted and loving mother to 5 children. Family meant everything to Teresa, and hanging out at a family barbecue was all she needed to be happy. Something people may not know about Teresa is that she was talented with decorating and home design.
Teresa was the 3rd of 5 children: Jeanie Alto, Randy Marsh, Marty Marsh, and Kristy Jay. Kristy Jay was Teresa's baby sister who passed away too young. Teresa was looking forward to seeing her again.
Teresa will be most remembered for her love of family and loyalty to her 5 children. She is survived by Shelli (Dean Moya) Kissel, Kelli (Martin) Blevins, Timothy Prickett, Joshua (Catherine) Prickett, and Matthew (Lisa) Prickett. Teresa also left behind 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who were a great joy of her life.
Teresa will be greatly missed by family and friends. Her ashes will be interred with her mama and sister in Jones, Oklahoma.
Family is everything.
