Terry Ruch of Winfield, Illinois, passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on December 24, 1953, Terry spent his life rooted in the western suburbs, where he was deeply connected to the communities he served.
A graduate of West Chicago High School, Terry dedicated his career to public service through his work with the Carol Stream and Winfield Fire Protection Districts. His unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of others was a hallmark of his professional life.
Terry is lovingly remembered by his life partner, Lynn; his children, Chris (Kylee) and Emily (Amanda); and his grandchildren, Cole, Kristian, Casi, Scarlet, and Reata. He also leaves behind his siblings: Sam (Marsha), Barb (Nancy), and Jim (Maria), along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
Known for his steadfast presence and willingness to help others, Terry made a lasting impact on those around him. Outside of work and family, he found peace in nature as an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting.
A memorial service to honor Terry's life will be held on December 12, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. John Church, 0S233 Church St., Winfield, Illinois.
