**Thelma Jean Clough (née Burke), 87**
*March 17, 1938 - November 25, 2025*

Thelma Jean Clough, lovingly known as Jean or simply Mom to those closest to her, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, in Viera, Florida, at the age of 87. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Born on March 17, 1938, in Kingsport, Tennessee, Jean was the daughter of Ruby and Hairm Burke. She grew up surrounded by the warmth of family and carried that same spirit into every chapter of her life. Her deep roots in faith were evident through her love for reading the Bible and listening to gospel music and spiritual programs—sources of strength that guided her throughout her life.

Jean was a woman of many passions. She found joy in gardening, cooking hearty meals for her family, reading cherished books, and exploring the beauty of antiquing. Her appreciation for vintage jewelry and furniture reflected her timeless elegance and eye for charm. Sundays were sacred in Jean's home—a time when family gathered around the table to share food, laughter, and love. These traditions became treasured rituals that bound generations together.

She was a spiritually blessed woman whose kindness radiated through every interaction. With a sparkling smile and an infectious sense of humor, Jean uplifted everyone around her. She was not only the heart of her family but also its foundation—always present with unwavering support and unconditional love. Her pride in her family was boundless; she never missed an opportunity to express how proud she was of each one.

Jean's legacy lives on through her devoted daughter Donna J. Hurst and son-in-law Franklin E. Hurst; daughter-in-law Bonnie Macedo Cole; grandchildren Sean Cole, Erin Weems, Tyler Cole, and Ronald W. Walker; great-grandson Thomas Weems; sister Faye Burke; and Jay Burke.

She is now reunited with those who went before her: her beloved spouses Howard D. Cole Sr. and George Thomas Clough; sons Howard D. Cole Jr., Roger Dean Cole, and Steven Lee Cole; parents Ruby and Hairm Burke; and brother Bobby H. Burke.

Jean's life was a testament to enduring love, faith, resilience, and grace. She gave everything she could to those she loved—and then gave even more. Her memory will continue to inspire strength and unity among those she held dear.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her and may the light she shared continue to shine brightly in their hearts forever.
