Theresa Mary Adler, 71, of New Port Richey, Fl, passed peacefully away at her home in New Port Richey on March 3rd 2026 after a brave 2 year battle with Stomach Cancer.
Theresa, known as Terry, was born on May 30, 1954 to Kevin and Eileen Perry. Terry graduated from Sayville High School in Long Island in 1972. She married her best friend Gary Adler in 1978 and together they had 3 children: Corinne, Lindsey and Brian. She acquired a degree in Nursing in 1994 while raising her 3 children and working nights at the Riverside Inn in Homosassa Springs. From there, she worked in hospitals, rehabilitation centers and Home healthcare throughout the years. She loved being a nurse and her family was so proud of her for becoming an LPN. She had just recently retired at the age of 70.
Her favorite hobbies included reading, gardening, cooking and baking. She was involved in church and practiced her Christian faith until the day she passed. She loved to go on cruises and travel with her family as often as she could. Her favorite destination was Turks and Caicos.
She loved her best friend and husband, her children and her grandchildren immensely. She was a great friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Terry was predeceased by sister Gene-Ann Pesano, and parents Kevin Perry and Eileen Perry. She is survived by her husband of almost 48 years Gary Adler, her children Corinne (and Special Tony), Lindsey (And Paul) and Brian, her brothers David, Michael and Kevin, and her 4 grandchildren Cole, Alexis, Aubrey and Ashton.
At Terry’s request, there will be a celebration of life at a later date to be announced.
