Theresa Anne Chouinard, 92, longtime resident of Ashland passed away Tuesday December 9, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Saginich) Krivicich. Theresa was the loving wife of Kenneth Chouinard who died in 2022. She worked as a Teacher's Aide in the Ashland Public Schools for over 25 years.
Tapping into her strong business sense she held several jobs as a young single mother. Most notable to her children, was a position as the Office Manager at Keebler Company, as they reaped the benefits of free cookies. She enjoyed reading and would easily finish 1-2 mysteries and suspense novels each week. As a card game enthusiast, Terri would not hesitate to repeatedly pass along multiple "Draw Four" Uno cards to the person sitting next to her. She loved dancing and music and in recent years saw her favorite performer, Engelbert Humperdink, three times. Ultimately, her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she treasured any time spent laughing with her grandchildren.
Theresa is survived by four children, Linda Paquette of Ashland, Paul Lentoni (Paula) of Ashland, Philip Lentoni of Framingham, and Chris Chouinard (Yun Joo Kang) of Mill Valley, California. She also leaves seven grandchildren, Michael Pfundt, Alexander Lentoni (Kleoniki), Emma Lentoni, Benjamin Lentoni, Calissa Lentoni, Olive Chouinard and Violet Chouinard.
In addition to her husband Kenneth, she was pre-deceased by her daughter Michelle Chouinard who died in 2008.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday Dec. 13th at 10:30am in St. Cecilia's Church, 54 Esty St. Ashland, MA with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland, MA.
In lieu of flowers donations in Theresa's memory may be made to the Breast Cancer Priorities Fund at Massachusetts General Hospital.
