Theresa Julia Cuomo

Theresa Julia Cuomo was born on May 13, 1927, in Branford, Connecticut. She passed away November 27, 2025 at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominick Biagiarelli & Julia Pinicni, her husband Nicholas Joseph Cuomo, her son, Patrick Michael Cuomo her sisters, Phyllis, Mary, Francis, her brothers, Frank, Paul, Peter. She is survived by her son Nicholas Anthony Cuomo and his wife Judy Cuomo, her grandchildren, Nicholas A. Cuomo Jr., Angela Cuomo-Morris; great-grandchildren: Justin Todd Edrington & Nicole Cuomo Bennett, her great-great-granddaughter Sophie Sky Edrington and her great-great-grandson Josiah Ace Edrington. Theresa grew up in Connecticut and in 1947 she got engaged to her husband, Nick, he asked her at Stoney Creek, Double Beach and started their life together. She worked at A.C. Gilbert Co. and brought her son Nick home his first American Flyer train. They moved the family to Hallandale, Florida in 1959. She enjoyed the beach and loved to swim and collect shells. She worked at the Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood and raised to two sons in sunny Florida. In 1992 they decided to move to Fort Pierce, Florida in a quaint little place and retired, and planted mango and avocado trees. She enjoyed her gardening. After her husband passed, her son Pat had a stroke so it was time for her to move closer to the family. Her son Nick moved her to Naples, Florida and set her up in a little place on the water about five minutes from him. Her and Pat had a nice quiet life there, we saw her often and she was a big hit at the holiday functions and all the family birthdays. When Covid hit it took Patrick's life. Theresa stayed in her little home until Hurricane Ian came and took everything from her. Nick moved her in with him and she spent the next five years being spoiled and catered to. She lived like a queen and spent her time making arts and crafts. Pot holders were one of her favorite pass times and she loved to watch "The Little House on the Prairie". We have pictures of five generations of family on holidays. Mother Theresa, Nick, Angie, Justin and his son Josiah. She flew with us on a plane to Tennessee to celebrate her great-granddaughter, Nicole, get married. She spend months hand making a purse to carry at the wedding. Theresa got a kick out of throwing the ball to Nick Jr. dog, Precious. She will be greatly missed by her family & friends. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the charity of their choice.
