Thomas White "Tom" Bilisoly, 83, passed away on November 29, 2025, in Hillsboro, Texas.
Born on January 18, 1942, in Raleigh, North Carolina, Tom lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a deep appreciation for music and community. He was the son of James Turner White Bilisoly and Martha Athelene Thomas Bilisoly, both of whom preceded him in death.
At a young age, Tom answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy. His military career included service aboard the USS Enterprise during Operation Mongoose in 1962 under President John F. Kennedy—a time of great historical significance that shaped his lifelong sense of duty and patriotism.
Following his military service, Tom built a successful career as a realtor in Austin and the surrounding areas. For decades, he helped individuals and families find homes in one of Texas's most vibrant regions. His work left a lasting impact on the communities he served.
Tom made Austin his home not only professionally but also personally. A devoted parishioner at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Northwest Austin, he found spiritual grounding and fellowship within his faith community.
A passionate lover of live music, Tom embraced all that Austin—the live music capital—had to offer. He was especially fond of the blues and jazz. He frequently enjoyed watching one of his favorite bands, The Brew, play at The Oasis on Lake Travis. Whether attending concerts or simply enjoying local performances around town, music brought him joy and connection throughout his life.
Tom is survived by his children, grandchildren and his siblings: his firstborn, Tanya Ann Bilisoly, and her two children, Aidan Sterriker and Addison Sterriker; his only son, James Thomas Bilisoly, and his four daughters, Madeleine Jo Mock, Jamie Jewel Bilisoly, Carolina Grace Bilisoly, and Athelene Lucrece Bilisoly; and his youngest child, Melissa Athelene Bilisoly, and her two sons, Anthony James Bilisoly and Camden Lucas Bilisoly. Tom's surviving siblings are James "Jimmy" Bilisoly, Frank Bilisoly, and Martha Bilisoly Beck. His legacy lives on through them and through the many lives he touched with his warmth and dedication.
