Thomas Joseph Keyes Bolvari, affectionately known as Tommy, passed away on December 28, 2025, in Kingsport, Tennessee, at the age of 61. Born on October 31, 1964, in Baltimore, Maryland, Tommy lived a life rich with learning, travel, loving family members, and enduring friendships.

Tommy spent his formative years in Manassas, Virginia, where he attended Osbourn High School. His passion for education led him to Radford University where he earned multiple degrees. His academic pursuits reflected a deep curiosity and commitment to learning.

Tommy's greatest joy came from being a father. He often spoke of the pride and happiness he felt when watching his son, Matthew, grow. His love for Matthew was unwavering and stood as the most cherished chapter of his life.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Patricia; his beloved son, Matthew; two brothers, Steve (Kelly) and Paul; nephews Jack and Danny; niece Katy-Scarlett; aunts Phyllis Demski and Sue Welsh; cousin Ken Demski; friend and neighbor Ron; and many extended family members and forever friends. He was predeceased by his adored father, Dr. Joseph Bolvari, and grandparents Thomas and Flora Keyes.

Tommy had a passion for the things he loved most—reading countless books, traveling, and spending quiet moments with his cats who brought him comfort and companionship.

Our Brother Will Live with Us in Our Memories

One of us remembers the earliest days when they played together. Amazing visits to their grandparents' house. Sitting at their grandfather's desk at police headquarters where he was Deputy Commissioner. Walking and discovering the battlefields in Manassas. Building forts and climbing trees with the other neighborhood kids.

I remember us as young adults who had such flexible schedules and so much time to be together. We had our yearly beach trips with our oldest and dearest friends. We slept on floors, in closets, and some even outside at the beach. All holidays were beautifully celebrated together.

We all remember our lives becoming full and amazingly happier with our own children and new responsibilities. Those kids remember the nicknames you gave-- Bebo, Jack Attack, Dan the Man and Katy-Did! They remember the playful times, the now-family beach visits and the best memory--taking turns being thrown in the pool. The love, the smiles, and the happy times stay with us, eternally.

We will take these memories and keep them in our hearts.

"Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again." Ron Tranmer
