Thomas Camalier

1952 - 2026

Mr. Thomas Anthony "Tom/Tommy" Camalier, 73, passed away on January 8, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland, the city where he was born and spent much of his life.

Born on March 13, 1952, in Baltimore to Edward Camalier and Dorothy Bures Camalier, Tom graduated from Kenwood High School in Essex, Maryland, in 1970. His early years laid the foundation for a life marked by warmth, resilience, and an unmistakable enthusiasm for living.

Tom was known for his charm, bright blue eyes, and unforgettable smile. He had a rare ability to bring light into any room and never held a grudge. A friend to everyone he met, Tom had an innate gift for lifting spirits—even during life's most difficult moments. His sense of humor and love for good times were constants throughout his life.

He is lovingly remembered by his children: Tara Ruppert and her husband Adam; Thomas Camalier II and his wife Melissa; Valerie Camalier; and the mother of his children, Virginia Camalier Lange. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Ethan and Hannah Ruppert; Thomas Camalier III and Ella Camalier; and Brayden Auberg. Tom also leaves behind his brothers Edward and his wife Karla, Michael and his wife Mary, and Archer and his wife Janet. As well as his nieces, nephews and their children. All of whom shared in the many memories.

Though he has joined his parents in rest, Tom's spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.

In accordance with Tom's wishes, there will be no funeral or viewing. Instead, a celebration of life will be held during his favorite time of year—late spring to early summer of 2026—when friends and family can gather to honor him in the way he would have wanted: with laughter, stories, and joy.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
