Thomas "BULLET" Campbell, age 83, passed away on December 1, 2025, in Arlington, Washington. Born on March 26, 1942, in Seattle, Washington, Thomas lived a life defined by dedication, humor, and a deep connection to his work and family.
A graduate of North Douglas/Drain High School, Class of 1960, Thomas began working early—delivering newspapers by bicycle. This early commitment to hard work paved the way for a long and industrious career. In his younger years in Drain, Oregon, he worked at a service station, meat packing plant, and plywood mill before moving to Seattle. There, he held positions at a mill, Boeing, and a drilling company.
In the late 1960s, Thomas founded his own drilling company, launching a career that spanned more than five decades. His work took him across the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, and Alaska. He had a hand in helping a few young guys get their start in the industry. His last several years he did well inspections, decommissions, and treatments. Thomas worked right up until the day he passed
He was affectionately known by many names such as "Old Man" "Tom" "Bullet" "Papa""Round Man", but never late for dinner! His sense of humor and knack for nicknames left lasting impressions. Outside of work, Thomas had a passion for classic cars especially his yellow flamed red '57 Ford Ranchero. He was always up for a car show or swap meet.
Thomas is survived by his wife Sharon; children Brien, Jeff, Tawnee (Derek), and Jolene (Joel); grandchildren Michaela, Alicia, Christa (Josh), Sammi, Kelsee (Chase), and Tommy (Madi); and great-grandchildren Caleb, Korbin, Andrea, Tayvin, Chevelle, Koda Juniper, Frankie, Margot, and soon-to-arrive Tommy Eddy. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchildren Joshua and Katie.
A celebration of Life will be held on January 10, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Bryant Community Church, 26830 53rd Ave NE, Arlington WA.
