Thomas Raymond St. Marie, age 64, passed away peacefully at home in Oregon, Ohio on December 27, 2025. He was surrounded by love in his final moments, with his wife Judee and his siblings Ann, Mary, Jayne, and Ray by his side.
Born on March 28, 1961, in Oregon, Ohio, Tom spent his life rooted in the community he loved. A skilled carpenter by trade, he took pride in his work.
Tom was a devoted family man whose life was deeply intertwined with those he held dear. He is survived by his loving wife Judee (Ostroski) St. Marie and her children and grandchildren; his grandson Jason Nowak; and his son-in-law Jeremy Weaver and Jeremy’s children. His siblings, Ann St. Marie (Mike Krolak), Mary (and Aaron Wicks), Jayne St. Marie, and Ray (and Amy St. Marie)—remain to cherish his memory. Tom was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews and affectionately known as “Papa Tom” to numerous grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Leslie Joan Weaver; his parents Marilyn (VanEtten) and Raymond St. Marie; and his brother David St. Marie.
Tom had a deep love for animals, especially the many dogs who were part of his life over the years. A passionate sports fan, he followed local teams like the Toledo Mud Hens and Toledo Walleye with enthusiasm. He also cheered for Ohio State football and basketball as well as the Cleveland Browns. Nature brought him peace—he especially enjoyed being near water—and music was a constant companion throughout his life.
Tom cherished time spent with lifelong friends and treasured the memories made with family over the years. His presence brought joy to gatherings large and small, and those who knew him will remember both the laughter shared his smile and the quiet strength he offered.
A private Celebration of Life will be held in Tom’s honor.
