Thomas Joseph "Tom" Verville, 81, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Sarasota, Florida. Born in Hancock, Michigan, Tom's life was marked by dedication to his family and his faith.

Tom received his early education at St. Patrick's in Maysville, Kentucky, before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech. His career and life were shaped by his strong work ethic. He also served his country with pride as a member of the National Guard for seven years.

Tom was a devoted husband to Jackie and a loving father to his sons Chris and Craig. He cherished his daughter-in-law Monica and found immense joy in being a grandfather to Jordyn, Cassidy, Addison, Jack, Collin, and Gabriella. His family was the cornerstone of his life.

A man of faith, Tom was a longtime member of Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville, Indiana, before joining Bayside Community Church in Sarasota. His spiritual community brought him great comfort and connection throughout his life.

Tom had a passion for golf, fishing, and working on cars—hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation. Known for his kind and gentle nature, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those around him.

In recent years, Tom faced the challenges of Parkinson’s disease and Lewy Body Dementia with courage and grace. Many happy days were spent at Parkinson’s Place in Sarasota alongside Jackie. Together they participated in fitness classes and educational activities while forming meaningful friendships within the community.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Arden Courts of Sarasota for their care during Tom’s final days.

Tom was predeceased by his parents Bernard and Eleen Verville but leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson’s Place at 5969 Cattleridge Blvd., STE 100, Sarasota, FL 34232.
