Thomas Lee Weinraub

1948 - 2025

We share with deep sadness the passing of Thomas Lee Weinraub, born April 4, 1948, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, who died on Friday, November 21, 2025. Tom was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Weinraub; their daughter, Sara Billups, her husband, Drew; and his grandchildren, Asher and Sabine.

Tom owned and ran an employment agency for three decades, helping thousands of people find jobs throughout Northeast Indiana. After selling his company, he and Susan relocated to Seattle in 2007.

Tom had a larger-than-life personality and moved at his own pace. He loved cities, especially Chicago and New York, with their energy and endless movement that matched his own pace. He also returned to simple pleasures, like driving to the ocean, going to the movies, spotting hawks and eagles, eating bagels and cream cheese, hitting "a bucket of balls" at the driving range, and going out for Chinese food on the weekend.

Although he converted to Christianity in the 1970s, Tom retained a deep respect and affection for his Jewish heritage. Over the last twenty years, he spoke in many churches and led Bible studies in Indiana and Washington state.

As Susan's Parkinson's Disease progressed, Tom stepped into the role of caregiver with fidelity and tenderness. Having once helped care for his grandchildren when they were small, he brought that same steadiness and love to caring for his wife.

Tom lived more than five years after receiving a multiple myeloma diagnosis, facing blood cancer with determination and courage.

Those who knew Tom will remember his humor, presence, and genuine joie de vivre. He leaves behind a family who loved him back and will carry forward his exuberant spirit and loyal love.
