Thomas Kirk Williams, 80, passed away on January 19, 2026, in Northglenn, Colorado. Born on March 17, 1945, in Cameron, Texas, Tom lived a life marked by generosity, loyalty, and an unequivocal drive to live life on his own terms.
From an early age, Tom was immersed in the Ambassador Church, attending their schools from grade school through college. His involvement in the church led him to Ambassador College ('68) in Pasadena, California, where he studied to be a minister. During his college years, he served as a ministerial trainee in Chicago and Detroit. This experience honed his remarkable public speaking skills which he would eventually use in sales more than the ministry. Whether he was addressing small gatherings or crowds of thousands, Tom spoke with confidence and lots of humor.
He was also fiercely loyal. For every need, from farm-fresh eggs to an oil change, Thomas had "a guy," and that guy was always the best (according to him.) His recommendations were delivered with conviction and certainty because when Tom believed in something, or someone, he did so wholeheartedly.
Rules were more like suggestions to Tom. He never met a parking spot he didn't think was his for the taking. This rebellious streak extended into his love for motorcycles. His passion for motorcycles began in his youth and endured throughout his life. He spent countless hours riding and made regular pilgrimages to the Sturgis Rally. Even as a grandfather, he delighted in sharing this thrill with his grandchildren (usually helmet-less), much to the chagrin of his adult children, because for Tom, joy was meant to be shared boldly.
At the center of Tom's world was his beloved wife Linda Williams. Their bond was deep and enduring; her passing just six months prior to his left a void he never stopped feeling. He often spoke of how much he missed her, a sentiment that echoed through every conversation in those final months.
Tom is survived by his siblings Mary Ann Aust, Brenda Christianson, and Virgil Williams; his two children Joseph Williams and Tani Stone (Williams); and five grandchildren: Libby Williams, Johnny Williams, Ben Stone, Elsie Stone, and Tess Stone.
A memorial service celebrating Tom's life will be held at a later date.
May the memory of Thomas Kirk Williams bring comfort to all who knew him. And may we all carry forward a bit of his fearless spirit and boundless generosity.
