Thomas Luke Wogan, 23, of Charles Town, West Virginia, passed away on February 9, 2026. Born on December 19, 2002, Thomas was the beloved son of Jeff and Susan Wogan, and the cherished brother of Martha (Jake) McConville and their children Olivia and Henry, Matthew (Allison) Wogan and their son Mattison, and Conor Wogan.
A lifelong resident of Charles Town, Thomas graduated from Washington High School in 2021, where he was known for his remarkable athleticism, unwavering determination, and generous heart. From the age of seven, he poured his energy into sports—football with the Jefferson County Youth Football League, baseball with Jefferson County and Summit Point Little League, and basketball throughout his youth and middle school years. His passion for athletics continued into college, where he proudly played football for Shenandoah University as a linebacker and on special teams. Thomas excelled at any sport he tried, but especially football. He led by example and with compassion, competing fiercely while lifting up those around him. His generous spirit, passionate friendship, and a smile that could turn around even the hardest day made him a beloved teammate and a bright presence in every community he touched.
Thomas was a child of God, a follower of Jesus, and driven by the Holy Spirit. His faith was a steady and guiding force throughout his life. He was active in his church youth group, loved reading the Bible, and often asked thoughtful questions as he grew in his faith. He especially cherished the annual mission trips to Henderson Settlement in Kentucky, where he served others with enthusiasm and compassion.
Thomas will be remembered for his competitive spirit, his love of family, and his unwavering pursuit of purpose and meaning. His gentle manner and infectious smile brought light to every room. Though he faced significant struggles in recent years, Thomas's life was marked by courage, kindness, and a deep love for God.
We invite family and friends to join us in remembering Thomas at his memorial. We hope that this service will help us start the healing process and allow time to come together and share our best memories of him. We ask that you choose appropriate attire that best suits your heart and makes you the most comfortable.
