1972 - 2026

Tiffany Megan Koper-Christian, 53, of Bellingham, WA, died Monday, March 16, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, after a long struggle with chronic heart ailments.
Tiffany was born June 11, 1972, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Terry and Stephanie (Erbe) Koper of Oconomowoc, WI. Tiffany graduated from Oconomowoc High School. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor's degree in anthropology, specializing in High Plains Indian studies, and a minor in geology. This is where she met her husband, Kevin Christian, originally from Eatonville, WA, who later worked for the U.S. Forest Service and now for the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection. They were married August 26, 2000, in Oconomowoc.
After living in several western states, they eventually moved to Bellingham, WA, where she worked with students in the Bellingham School District, most recently at Roosevelt Elementary. Her love of travel, exploring archaeological sites, or hiking portions of the Pacific Crest Trail with her husband never wavered. She loved her pets and loved working on her art, some of which hangs in various places in Washington and beyond. She adored her nieces and nephews, who were willing participants in her explorations. She loved life and the people in it.
Survivors include her husband, Kevin Christian of Bellingham, WA; her parents, Terry and Stephanie (Erbe) Koper of Oconomowoc, WI; her brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Michele (Gnewuch) Koper; and her nieces and nephews, Elijah, Addison, Aidan, and Emme Koper of Hartland, WI; as well as several aunts and uncles and many cousins with whom she remained close.

An informal reception will take place from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a formal time of reflection at 1:00 PM.
