Timothy Wade "Tim" Lipscomb, 81, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, in Weatherford, Texas. Born on January 10, 1944, in Burbank, California, Tim lived a life marked by deep faith, intellectual curiosity, and unwavering kindness.

The son of Homer Neal and Winona Belle Lipscomb, both now deceased, Tim was the beloved husband of Mary Elizabeth Lipscomb and a devoted father to his daughter Tara Lipscomb. He cherished his role as grandfather to Theo and Kayla Draughn and great-grandfather to Evelyn Draughn. His family was a source of immense pride and joy throughout his life. He also shared close bonds with his siblings—his brother Ronald Lipscomb and sisters Marlene Scott and Mary Hughes.

Though he did not attend organized religious services regularly, Tim's Christian faith was the cornerstone of his life. A self-educated scholar of the Bible, he possessed a remarkable depth of knowledge that he loved to share through thoughtful conversation. His passion for scripture was matched only by his love for engaging others in meaningful dialogue about its teachings.

Tim found peace and joy in simple pleasures. He had a lifelong love of fishing—a pastime that allowed him to connect with nature and reflect quietly. He loved animals, particularly his cat, Sam, who was his constant companion from the moment Sam showed up on his doorstep years ago. He had immense passion for classical music, which often filled his home, providing a soothing backdrop to his days. These interests reflected the thoughtful and contemplative nature that those who knew him came to admire.

Known for his intelligence and gentle spirit, Tim was a man who valued kindness above all else. He approached life with humility and grace, always ready to listen or offer insight when asked. Conversations with him were often rich with wisdom and warmth.

A memorial dinner celebrating Tim's life will be held in Weatherford, Texas.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire lives grounded in compassion, faith, and understanding.
