Timothy Charles Sadlier

1950 - 2026

Timothy Charles Sadlier has played his final set.

A man of undeniable wit, a soulful voice, and a spirit too large for any one zip code, Tim took his final bow on February 19, 2026, after a heroic decade-long battle with cancer. Since 2015, he fought with the same grit and determination that defined his entire life, never surrendering his charm, humor, or presence that made him a legend to those who knew him.

Born on June 13, 1950, in New York, Tim carried the city's sharp edge and vibrant energy wherever life took him, from the streets of New York to adventures in Alabama, to the hills of Connecticut, and ultimately to his home in Florida. Wherever he landed, he lived a life that was anything but quiet.

A gifted musician, Tim could command any room with a guitar in his hands and a song in his heart. Music wasn't just something he played - it was who he was. His life was a collection of bold ventures and big passions. He owned multiple businesses and enjoyed being a restaurateur, he was a man comfortable in the fast lane, owning and racing horses, captaining boats, and appreciating fine, fast cars. He embraced life fully, unapologetically, and on his own terms.

Tim had a personality that filled every space. He was the kind of person that could have rubbed some the wrong way with his bold personality, but he was simply too charming to dislike. He had a rare gift for turning strangers into lifelong friends and casual encounters into lasting stories.

His greatest hits, and the truest legacy of his life, are his three daughters: Theresa Sadlier and Tiffanee Jean Kelsey of Connecticut, and Megan Gatlin of Florida. They were his pride, his heart, and his enduring melody.

He was preceded in death by his parents and, by one day, his sister, Karen Sadlier Minervini Whelan. He is survived by his loving siblings, Joanna Green and Kevin Sadlier, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who carry forward his spirit.

In his later years, Tim found pride and sanctuary in his small Florida home. Though his life grew quieter, he was never alone. He was surrounded by fiercely loyal and loving friends. His family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to his lifelong friends, Andy Solie and Michelle Klasko, whose unwavering presence and care proved that while Tim lived a colorful and sometimes complex life, the love he gave was returned in full.

He lived hard, sang loud, and fought until the very last note.

He will be deeply missed, but his music plays on in the hearts of those who loved him.
