Timothy “Tim” G Hand

Timothy “Tim” Hand age 73 of Pelham, Alabama passed away peacefully April 14, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 1953 in Avondale, Alabama he spent his life serving and protecting others at Baptist Montclair and Shelby Baptist Hospitals. He was known above all for helping others. His favorite pastime was deep sea fishing and yard work.

He is survived by his fiancée Vikki, her son Mark (Nikki) and grandkids Joseph (Kat), Caden, Mikaela, Victoria, Alerik, and Liam; his daughters Maria and Terry Lynn (Steven) and grandkids Tyler (Emily), Josh (Bailey), Blake, Alex, and Maddie Leigh and great-grandkids Charley and Caspian, his special neice Christi Hand, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His cats Cutie, Sandy and Bitty Boop.

He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Mammie brothers Jerrell, Lavelle, Edsel, Autry, Leonard and Terry and a sister Bennie Hand Brown.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday May 2, 2026 from 1-3 pm at Lakeside Baptist Church, 2865 Old Rocky Ridge Road, Birmingham, AL 35243. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. Judes.
