Timothy "Tim" Glen Hughes

Timothy "Tim" Glen Hughes left his earthly life surrounded by family November 28, 2025, following a debilitating illness.

Born January 20, 1959, in Sioux City, Iowa Tim lived a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. He was married to the love of his life, Rebecca "Becky" Hughes and together they built a life of love, laughter, and resilience that endures. He was a husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother of a family who cherished his humor and boundless warmth.

A respected skilled plumbing contractor and business owner Tim had a part in many key projects in Northern California, Silicon Valley.

His personal time was spent at car shows with his 1973 Dodge Charger, at the gun range, and collecting reserve wines.

In addition to his beloved wife and caregiver Rebecca, Tim leaves behind his daughter Rachel Babcock, grandson Griffen Hughes, mother Frances Hughes, his treasured relationship with brothers Randy and Greg, brother Denny, and sister Linda. He is survived by his nephews and niece, Travis, Jerrod, Ryan and niece Kelly who were very special to him. He enjoyed annual vacations in Arizona visiting his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ken and Kathy Ingham. He is predeceased by his father Rodney Hughes. He cherished memories made with his cousin JD Hughes. His childhood friends of 60 years Joel Lesser and Bob Harrison filled his final days with visits and phone calls. He found great happiness throughout the years in time spent with his longtime close friends, Sheila and Bob Harrison, Catherine and Al Macks, Dale Johnson, Valeri and Ken Oswald.

In lieu of donations raise a glass of wine, or a margarita, rev the engine, burnout out the tires, and think of happy times, family and dear friends.
