Tony "Hammy" Ewing, age 62, December 15, 2025. Born on May 9, 1963, He was the 9th of 11 children in his family. He lived a life marked by strong dedication and loyalty to those around him.
Tony attended St. Clare in College Hill and graduated from Roger Bacon High School in 1981, where he was a proud member of the Roger Bacon Spartan Band.
From a young age, Tony embraced a strong work ethic that carried him through more than four decades of professional service. He built a respected career as a salesperson with several local businesses, including Kenny Shoes, Swallen's, and Furniture Fair. Known for his reliability and commitment to customer service, he earned the trust of both colleagues and clients throughout his career.
Tony was the beloved husband of Kittie Ewing, Grandfather to Daniel and Melissa, Great Grandfather to Elliot. The 6th son of Harry and Shirley Ewing and devoted brother to David, Madeline, Patrick, Theresa, Mike, Greg, Connie, Brian, and Jennifer. He also shared a special bond with his late brother Mark V. Ewing.
To those who knew him—whether as family or friend—Tony's cup was always half full, he brought comfort and encouragement to many, and his support left a lasting impression.
Tony's legacy endures through the kindness and loyalty he extended to others and the impact he made on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
