Tracy Anne Geimer passed away at her home in Chicago on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 after a year long battle with melanoma. She was 58.
Tracy leaves her husband, Doug Brown of La Grange, Illinois and her brother, James Geimer of Mill Valley, California. She was predeceased by her parents Nicholas Geimer and Linda Lunn Geimer and by her sister Allison Geimer.
Tracy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 30, 1967 and grew up in Wauwatosa until heading to the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
After graduation Tracy worked in the GE Financial Management Program for 8 years in Connecticut and Ohio. She followed this with marketing strategy roles at Sears and DigitalWork in Chicago and then began her 23-year affiliation with J.P Morgan Chase in Chicago and London. She ended her career with 5 years in a senior strategy role at Wells Fargo.
At work she was known for her brains, teamwork, and mentorship of younger colleagues and for her incredible personal style. Ask anyone: Tracy was the model of how a successful woman dresses for work!
More than for her success in business, Tracy will be remembered for her vast network of intersecting friend groups. Whether it was Wisconsin Badgers, work colleagues, golf buddies, workout friends or just plain gal pals who were serendipitously drawn to her bright spirit, Tracy brought people together from Chicago, London, New York and beyond. This was the wide, warm network that loved her and supported her so generously throughout her cancer battle.
In the Fall of 2021, Tracy met Doug Brown, and they formed a strong loving partnership right from the beginning. Their lives were full of adventure, culture, cats, and travel and Tracy’s circle was expanded yet again as she was embraced by Doug’s family and friends.
On October 11, 2025, Tracy and Doug were married in Lincoln Park, Chicago on the happiest day of their lives.
There will be two events celebrating Tracy’s life. All who loved Tracy are invited to attend either or both.
On Thursday, April 23, Tracy will be celebrated at a traditional Episcopal service at 10:30am at Christ Church at 5655 N. Lake Drive, Whitefish Bay, WI. A luncheon reception will follow nearby.
