IN LOVING REMEMBRANCE OF
Tracy "Big T" Lu Gene Holt
October 16, 1971 - February 10, 2026
"I will lift up my eyes to the hills from which comes my help.
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1-2
Tracy Lu Gene Holt was the only child born to the union of Richard Arthur and Merylon Joyce Holt at Wesley Hospital, Wichita, Kansas. He confessed Christ as his LORD and Savior as a teen and was baptized at St. Mary's Baptist Church in Wichita. It was there he served as a Jr. Layman, focusing on spiritual growth and supporting church services.
Tracy attended Wichita Heights High School where he played varsity football and basketball. He continued his education at Butler and Coffeyville Community Colleges in Kansas on football scholarships. He worked at Good Shepherd Via Christi Hospital before identifying his two passions: doing Over-the-Road trucking in an18-Wheeler for 12 years and, earning a black belt in Kenpo Karate. He also served in the Army.
AKA "Big T", Tracy was a 'gentle giant' standing at a commanding 6'5". A born adventurer, he was extremely adaptable with an infectious laugh and a keen sense of humor. He acquired his love of gourmet cooking from his mother. From his 'Pops' he acquired his resilient demeanor. Tracy excelled as an amazing artist and a dedicated chess player. He was also an 'old school' Hip-hop and R&B connoisseur. He made a lasting impression with everyone he met because of his genuine compassion for others. Tracy's final act of kindness was one of profound generosity, he became an organ donor, leaving a legacy of life, healing and hope. This was a true reflection of the quiet strength and depth of spirit that defined who he was.
