Trudie T. McMahon (Renehan), 80, a longtime resident of Hamden, CT passed away unexpectedly on Sunday March 1, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Trudie was born in Rockville Center, NY on April 18, 1945 to the late Gertrude and Daniel Renehan. She was a graduate of St. Agnes Cathedral High School and devoted 30 years of her life working for Condé Nast Publications, commuting countless hours by train from New Haven, CT to Grand Central Station in NYC.

To know Trudie was to love her. She was a dedicated mother, proud grandmother, and a loving sister, aunt, and friend. She was a fiercely independent woman, whose love knew no bounds. Selfless to a fault, Trudie always put others before herself and was known for her quick wit and tender sense of humor. She was the centerpiece of every family holiday, for her unwavering love and delicious baked goods. Trudie never missed the opportunity to support her grandchildren at their numerous sporting events, recitals, graduations and birthdays. She was their number 1 fan, best friend and loyal confidant.

Trudie is survived by her siblings- Patty, Marylou, Dan and Ginny- her children Chris (Jaclyn), Regina, and George (Kari)-her grandchildren Chris, Briana, Dan, Joe, Jessica, Kiley, Olivia, Gavin, Sean- and her lifelong friends Gladys and Mary. Though her passing has left an enormous hole in all of our hearts, her unconditional love will continue to guide us through our lives for all the days to come.

One of Trudie's last selfless acts was to donate her body to Quinnipiac Medical School through the Anatomical Gift Program to support the education of future physicians and health professionals.

A Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel 2819 Whitney Ave. Hamden, CT on Saturday March 7, 2026 at 12PM.
