With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Tsukiko "Maeda" Popham, on December 20, 2025, in Round Rock, Texas; we are blessed and so deeply grateful to have been able to call her "Mom."
From the landscapes of Japan to her home in the United States, Tsukiko's life journey was one of quiet strength and enduring grace.
Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, David Popham, together they raised a family bound by affection and resilience.
A creative soul drawn to beauty and expression, Tsukiko found joy in painting and sewing; an avid golfer, she loved the peaceful quiet of the golf course and achieved 3 holes-in-one during her lifetime.
Tsukiko's spirit lives on through her children: Flora Gilbertson, Russell Popham, Faith Holton, and Kelly Hanke; her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Matthew McFarland, Rhiannon Popham, Amanda Lansford, Crystal Holton, John Holton, Jarod Brown, and Rachel Hanke.
Those who knew and loved her felt the comfort of her kindness, her compassion, and the quiet strength that radiated from within.
