Valerian Walter Petrauskas

Valerian Walter Petrauskas, age 84, and commonly known as "Val", died December 15, 2025. He was a resident of LaGrange and formerly of Brookfield since 1970. Val was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and loved to spend his spare time fishing and bowling. He also enjoyed listening to country music. Val is survived by his loving son, Michael, daughter-in-law Lisa, and granddaughters Madelyn, Sarah and Lauren. Born June 17, 1941, he was the beloved son of the late Walter Bruno and Gertrude Petrauskas (née Lukasiewicz) and the loving brother of the late Mary Ann Petrauskas. He was also the dear uncle of Linda and Sheryl Wojciechowski and Sharon Pennington. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
