Valerie J (Tucker) Sweeney

Valerie J Sweeney, of Salisbury, NH, unexpectedly passed away from natural causes January 7, 2026 at the age of 68.

Valerie was born in Concord, NH to Henry and Barbara (Davis) Tucker. As a child she moved around due to her father’s military service and when he retired she returned to Concord. Valerie graduated from Concord High School in 1975. She was employed for many years at Sprague Electric and The Lamp Shop in Concord.

Valerie was known for her love of family, she was very proud of her grandchildren, and loved family gatherings. She enjoyed writing poetry, quilting, crocheting and crafting. She loved to share her creations with friends and family.

Valerie is survived by her children, Lynn Bedwell (Peter) of Salisbury, NH and Patrick Sweeney of Concord, NH and their father Louis (Pat) Sweeney of Concord NH. Her grandchildren, Patrick Boisvert Sweeney, Chloe and Katelyn Bedwell. Her siblings Jeffrey Tucker (Vera) of Loudon NH, Brian Tucker (Debra) of Salisbury, NH, Sherri Bouvier (Bruce) of Concord, NH, Henry Tucker Jr (Kendra) of Penacook, NH and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Brent Tucker.

A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends in March.
