Veronica Mae Lennon
May 7, 1944 - February 28, 2026
Veronica Mae Lennon, age 81, of Tipp City, Ohio, was called home to heaven on February 28, 2026. Her passing was sudden and tragic, following complications from a medical procedure, but she met her Savior with the same quiet strength that defined her life.
Life and Legacy
Born Veronica Shrewsbury on May 7, 1944, in the coal mining country of Rhodell, West Virginia, she was the beloved daughter of Paul and Goldie Shrewsbury. Known affectionately as "Vicky" by many, she carried the warmth, resilience and tenacity of her Appalachian roots throughout her life. In her early years, she married Lloyd Edwards and moved to Dayton, Ohio, to raise their two children.
Veronica was, above all, a child of God. Her faith was not merely a belief but an action, expressed through her dedicated involvement in her church and her unwavering kindness. In recent years, her life was further brightened by her dear, dear friend and companion of the last eight years, Marvin Lair. Marvin was a source of deep joy and constant support, and the family is forever grateful for the love they shared.
Family and Reunion
Veronica is now reunited in eternal bliss with those who went before her: her husband, Brad Lennon, a talented architect and "dear, sweet, fun-loving man"; her former husband and great dad, Lloyd Edwards; and her precious grandson, Logan Michael Turner, who was tragically taken in the Dayton Oregon District shooting. The family finds great comfort in picturing them walking hand-in-hand in the presence of the Lord.
Her legacy of love lives on through her children: Danita Lynn Wood (formerly Turner) and her husband, Bill, of The Villages, Florida; and Lloyd Bryan Edwards and his significant other Kim Gray of New Carlisle, Ohio.
Services and Remembrances
Veronica will enjoy eternity alongside Brad at the historic Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. A Celebration of Veronica's Life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Grace Community Church, 5001 Fishburg Rd. Huber Heights, Ohio 45424
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the ICU nursing staff at Miami Valley Hospital—specifically Ali, Kailyn, Jessy and many more kind and competent care givers—for their exceptional care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Arbor Day Foundation's "Trees in Memory" program, honoring Veronica's love for God's creation.
