Vicky Lee Drapeau passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on February 2, 2026, at the age of 70.

Born March 20, 1955, in Manhattan, Kansas, to David Lee Drapeau and Amy Ruth Wright, Vicky was known for her compassion, humility, creativity, and deep, unwavering faith. With her soft grey-blue eyes and gentle spirit, she carried a quiet strength that anchored her family through every season of life.

She shared a lasting union with Albert Hernandez, her longtime spouse and devoted life partner of 30 years.

Vicky was a proud and loving mother to Alisa B. Gage (Donald McAllister), and a caring stepmother to Sonnet and Gibran Hernandez. She is also survived by her sister, Cynthia A. McKecknie, and her brother, Kirk E. Drapeau (Angelina Cowels).

Her greatest joy was being a grandmother. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Shaelen, Courtney, Audrey, Jaimie, Maisie, Charles, and Donny McAllister, her grandson through family, and a growing number of great-grandchildren who filled her heart with pride and happiness.

Vicky had a deep love for family history and was a devoted genealogist, proudly researching her French and Sioux heritage and her ancestral beginnings in Scotland. She was also a creative writer and artist at heart, expressing beauty through her words and artwork as a personal joy.

A respected business owner, Vicky, ran a real estate company in the Greater Kansas City area before making her home in Arizona. Here, she found strength and belonging in her church family at The Potter's House in Buckeye, Arizona.

A gentle woman and a warrior for God, Vicky lived her faith not only in words, but through kindness, grace, and steadfast love. She will be remembered for her warm presence, listening heart, and the way she made everyone feel seen, valued, and prayed for.

Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, a life rooted in the Word of God, and the love she gave so freely.

She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

Her light continues in every life she touched.

She now dwells in the house of the Lord forever (Psalm 23:6).
