Victor Drymon of Rancho Murieta passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025 in Roseville, California.

Victor was born on April 30, 1953, at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, to Kenneth (Tinker) Drymon (deceased) and Ruth (Drymon) Lindsey.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth Lindsey (George); his wife, Corinne for nearly 43 years; his daughter, Monica Drymon Culbertson (Patrick); his grandchildren, Liliana and Charles; his brother Michael (Winky); an aunt; cousins; nieces and nephews; and his beloved four-legged buddy, Arlo.

Victor lived in the East Bay area (Richmond, Pinole, Hercules and El Sobrante).
He graduated from Pinole Valley High School and attended courses at Contra Costa College.

An enterprising young man, Victor began working at age 15 at a hardware store. At 17, he started at Bio-Rad Laboratories in Richmond, California, where he advanced to Shipping Supervisor over 11 years. He then left to pursue his dream of owning a small hamburger joint, purchasing The Red Onion in El Cerrrito with Corinne in 1981. They built it into a thriving business and sold it in 2006.

At age 20 , Victor purchased his first rental property and remained a landlord for over 50 years.

A passionate sports fan, Victor loved baseball, Formula One racing, basketball, and even curling.

He was a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan, introduced to the game by his Granny Callie, and followed them across the United States - including attending a Tokyo Giants game during a trip to Japan. He traveled the world for Formula One races, from, San Jose, California, to Canada, Spain, Italy, Monaco, Germany, and his final race in Abu Dhabi. He also enjoyed the Olympics and attended several
Games.

Victor had a deep love for travel and introduced Corinne and Monica to Mexico and Europe, planning memorable family trips. One unforgettable summer began in Portugal, where they rented a car and drove through Italy, Spain, and France. Highlights included a week in a castle near Cortona, Italy; attending the Palio horse race in Siena's town square; the running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain; and a visit to the Eiffel Tower. He especially cherished exploring the local cultures and cuisines - he was a true foodie.

Victor was passionate about cooking and spent hours seeking the perfect recipe. During the COVID shutdowns, he prepared Saturday evening dinners for a full year (missing only a few), often turning them into themed nights featuring a country's cuisine, cocktails or local wine, music, and dessert.

To be near Granny Callie and care for her in her later years, Victor built a home next to hers in El Sobrante. The Drymon house soon became the family's gathering place for Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas dinners and birthday celebrations. Victor took great pride in ensuring everyone was well fed.

After Granny's passing I'm 2015, Victor and Corinne moved in 2017 to Rancho Murieta. Victor quickly embraced his new community and the wonderful people he met there.

He also loved art, music and relaxing on the patio with a beverage, enjoying the beautiful view alongside his favorite little pal, Arlo.

Victor cherished his family and friends, treasuring time spent with them.

A man of few words, he was determined, intelligent, levelheaded, stubborn, and always had a plan. He often quoted football coach John Wooden: "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

Though we have lost his physical presence, his spirit lives forever in our hearts.
