Victor "Larry" Laurence Hultquist, 78, of Yardley, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, after a courageous five-year battle with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. We will miss him more than words can express, but we take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with our beautiful mother and his beloved wife, Linda Lee, who passed on October 8, 2021. He was lost without her, and it brings us peace to know they are together again.

Victor was also predeceased by his brother, Gregory Hultquist, and his parents, Victor L. Hultquist, Sr., and Helen Ann Lyons Hultquist.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he grew up in Willow Grove, graduating from Upper Moreland High School in 1965. He then went on to graduate from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, in 1969. Geneva is where he met the love of his life, Linda, and they eventually settled in Yardley, Pennsylvania.

Victor is survived by his six children: Vikki (Danny) Hultquist, Christopher (Lisa) Hultquist, Clayton (Stephanie) Hultquist, LeAnna (Michael) Cherewka, Victor "Trey" (Stacy) Hultquist III, and Chaslin (Ryan) Gallagher. He will be forever missed by his nine grandchildren: Zane, Ty, Emma, Rylin, Aron, Addison, Tegan, Mackenzie, and Cassidy.

Victor's impact on the Lower Makefield/Yardley community was profound, though often quiet. As one of the three original founders of Yardley-Makefield Soccer (YMS), he helped build a program that now serves more than 1,000 children each year. All six of us played for YMS at some point, and Dad poured countless hours as a coach and behind the scenes—installing goalposts, lining fields, and providing equipment. His generosity was steady, humble, and unwavering.

Victor was also a proud supporter of the Lower Makefield Township Police. His dear friend, retired LMTPD Captain Tom Roche, remembers him fondly:

"While those currently at the Lower Makefield Township Police Department may not have known Vic (and Linda), many of us retired 'old guys' remember him as a staunch supporter of the LMTPD—attending many PBA fundraiser dinner-dances and spending zillions on a 50/50 he never won, but never cared about. My first interaction with this good-natured man was responding to a vandalism call at his home shortly after he moved in. From that day on, we became friends. I would often stop by on my evening shift during coffee break—though with Vic it was always chocolate milk. He and Linda became tremendous supporters of both the LMTPD and the PBA. Thanks for the chocolate milk, Vic. See you later, my friend."

Vic lived life the same way he loved his cars—wide open, full throttle, and with a grin that said, "Hang on, this is gonna be good." Cars weren't just machines to him; they were a language, a way of life, and sometimes even therapy. Then there was Top Gun. No one quoted Maverick quite like he did, always with that spark in his eye. To him, "the need for speed" wasn't just a movie line—it was a mindset.

Here's to Dad—the man who loved cars, loved Top Gun, and lived his life like every day was a ride worth taking. You always think you have enough time—until you don't. Even as Alzheimer's slowly took pieces of him from us, Dad never stopped lighting up every room with his personality, his smile, and his laughter. We will miss that forever. We picture him now riding off into a beautiful sunset in the Trans Am he always loved, whole and free again, hand in hand with the love of his life. Give Mom a kiss from all of us. We love you, Dad.

Services will be privately held, with the family laying Victor and Linda to rest together in accordance with their final wishes in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.
